Domain Research Report: Week of April 21

April 23, 2026

Overview

This week’s report reviews 10 domains from DNX Weekly Picks to identify pricing gaps between current listed prices and realistic end-user value. The process follows the same framework as last week: initial filter, DotDB validation, buyer research, NameBio comparisons, and a final pricing-gap verdict.

1. Domains Under Review This Week

The following 10 domains were selected from DNX Weekly Picks for evaluation:

DomainListed PriceGoDaddy Searches / Year
Asteroid.io$5,99943
DriveUp.com$10,000N/A

CriterionHealth.com$950N/A

2. Initial Filter

Each domain passes a quick eye test before deeper research. The filter criteria used this week are TLD quality, name length, word count, trend compounds, and taken status.

Buyer pool size is not used as an elimination criterion at this stage. That is validated later through DotDB and multi-source buyer research.

DomainEvaluationResult
DriveUp.com2-word .com with a clear action phrase and strong transportation, automotive, and logistics appeal.Proceed
AlphaLink.com2-word .com with a strong tech and connectivity signal; good fit for IT and networking buyers.Proceed
BetaStudio.com2-word .com with creative and tech studio branding appeal; fits agencies, SaaS teams, and media companies.Proceed
CriterionHealth.com2-word .com in healthcare; credibility-forward and positioned in a high-value industry.Proceed
PyramidHealth.com2-word .com in healthcare with a strong visual brand; buyer pool still needs DotDB validation.Proceed
mngr.com4-letter .com abbreviation of “manager”; short and memorable, but buyer demand needs verification.Check DotDB
v360.comAlphanumeric .com; “360” suggests panoramic or full-view branding, but the buyer pool may be narrow.Check DotDB
Asteroid.ioSingle-word .io that is memorable, but the .io extension limits end-user credibility compared with .com.Weak TLD
TheCube.ioThe “The” prefix weakens the brand, the .io extension narrows buyers, and the search volume is low.Eliminate
Bullion.ai.ai is overpriced here at $9,749, while “bullion” points to a very niche precious-metals buyer pool.Eliminate

Summary

  • 5 domains proceed to full research: DriveUp.com, AlphaLink.com, BetaStudio.com, CriterionHealth.com, PyramidHealth.com
  • 2 need DotDB confirmation first: mngr.com, v360.com
  • 3 are effectively removed from serious consideration: TheCube.io, Bullion.ai, Asteroid.io

3. DotDB Research Results

Each domain was searched on DotDB to measure real-world brand demand through active TLD registrations. This week’s process also checks which TLDs have live built-out sites, not just registrations.

Scoring guide:

  • 10+ active sites = Strong
  • 5-9 active sites = Good
  • 2-4 active sites = Caution
  • 0-1 active sites = Eliminate

6. Pricing Gap and Final Verdict

Gap % is calculated as:

(End-User Estimate Listed Price) ÷ Listed Price × 100

Guide:

  • 500%+ = Strong buy
  • 200-499% = Good buy
  • 100-199% = Borderline
  • Negative = Skip

Bullion.ai$9,749N/AN/AEliminated
TheCube.io$999N/AN/AEliminated
Asteroid.io$5,999N/AN/AEliminated
  • CriterionHealth.com: Buy immediately at $950. Two real healthcare companies are already using weaker domains, and the pricing gap is by far the strongest on the list.
  • AlphaLink.com: Strong consideration at $9,900. The combination of active usage, international buyer coverage, and an obvious upgrade target makes this one highly actionable.
  • PyramidHealth.com: Good buy at $5,000. A large healthcare operator already exists behind the brand, and the clean .com has real upgrade value.
  • DriveUp.com: Borderline at $10,000. Demand is real, but the price is already close to fair value unless you identify a specific buyer first.
  • BetaStudio.com: Borderline. Brandable and usable, but the upside is not wide enough to make it a clear buy at the current price.
  • mngr.com and v360.com: Skip. Both are interesting concepts, but current listed prices already absorb most of the realistic upside.
